Dr. Virginia Lee
Dr. Virginia Lee visited Oxford College early in September to lead a number of group discussions on Inquiry Guided Learning.   In the morning, she facilitated discussion of INQ in a meeting with the faculty, and throughout the day met with other faculty groups, including members of the Inquiry Review and Development Committee.
“Such visits by scholars and consultants provide a good opportunity for faculty to interact with a person who has experience and knowledge of a particular area that Oxford faculty are exploring,” said Jeff Galle, Director of the Center for Academic Excellence at Oxford College.

Toward the Center: a Feature of the Center for Academic Excellence

Where will Ken Bain (What the Best College Professors Do), Larry Michaelsen (creator of Team Based Learning), four Oxford College scholars, and 55 invited participants be from May 11-14, 2010? They will all be at Oxford College of Emory University in the sessions of this year's Institute for Pedagogy in the Liberal Arts, orchestrated by Dr. Jeff Galle, Director of the Center for Academic Excellence.   [read more]
